Betting In Online Craps

Craps is a popular online gambling game these days. It may look difficult but in reality it isn't. A proper understanding of the basic rules and the method behind making a pass line bet is all you need to get started on this lovely game. Betting in online craps can be done in 40 different ways but most of these bets like the proposition and hardway bets have terrible odds that you must try to avoid.

The first step is to learn what a basic pass line bet is. A pass line bet is one of the above mentioned ways of betting in online craps. It has a house edge of 1.41 percent making it one of the casinos' most sought after bets.

In a simple pass line bet, a bet is placed on the pass line before a new shooter begins his role or right after a shooter makes his point. The name for this is a come out roll. To place the pass line bet you must make sure, it meets the minimum on the table while betting in online craps.

A pass line bet wins if a 7 or 11 is rolled by a shooter on the come out roll. However, a roll of 2, 3 or 12 by a shooter means you lose your pass line bet. These numbers are called 'craps numbers' in betting in online craps. A shooter who rolls a craps number can keep rolling though if he has made a pass line bet, he will lose the bet.

Any other number than the ones mentioned above that is rolled becomes the point number. They are called 'Box numbers' in betting in online craps. This name is given because they are the boxes one sees on the craps layout. They are marked by the dealer by placing a puck place in the box on the table.

Here, we will provide you with an example of a point number. A new shooter rolls the dice for the first time. The numbers it lands on are 3 and 3. This adds up to six which has now become the new point. A marker shaped like a hockey puck is placed on the number in the craps layout. Now the shooter has to roll a 6 before he rolls a 7. If he rolls a 7 first, he loses. This is called a 'Sevening out' in betting in online craps. If a shooter sevens out him can't roll anymore and a new shooter with a new come out roll takes his place. If he rolls the six before the seven then the pass line bet wins. Craps players call this 'making your point'. After a shooter makes his point a new come out roll is used. The pass line bet is paid even money.
